Abstract

The proton exchange membrane fuel cell is a type of fuel cell that is commonly used for transport systems. These fuel cells are one of the most promising electrochemical devices for energy generation for use in automotive and portable devices. The materials to be discussed in this work were prepared as potential candidates for proton exchange membrane fuel cell application. In this thesis, binary and ternary platinum alloy nanoparticle were applied in different fuel cell reactions with the aim to investigate the effect on activity and stability of the catalyst.
