Abstract
This volume consists of three chapters: Chapter One is a systematic review of the literature, with numerical synthesis, on the prevalence rates of comorbid Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) in adults; Chapter Two is an empirical research study, exploring the experiences of women in a group intervention for comorbid PTSD and SUDs called Seeking Safety, in particular, it investigates how mechanisms of change were understood; Chapter Three is a summary of the systematic literature review and empirical study for dissemination to the public and other stakeholders.
