This volume is divided into two papers. The first paper is a literature review that explored protective factors in the intergenerational cycle of child maltreatment. The paper is based on a previous review by Langeland and Dijkstra (1995) and critically evaluates the methodology of papers included in the review. The second paper is a piece of qualitative research using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis to explore the lived experience of young people who witness domestic violence and what they draw from their sibling relationships in order to form resilience.
