Abstract

Volume one contains three research chapters. The first chapter presents a systematic review of the literature examining the outcomes of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ID). The second chapter is an empirical research study, exploring the experiences of DBT in a community setting for individuals with ID. The third chapter presents a public dissemination document, which provides a brief overview of the systematic review and empirical paper. An accessible summary of the main findings from the empirical paper was also developed for the individuals who participated in the research.
