Abstract

This thesis is comprised of three chapters. Chapter one of the thesis is a literature review and consists of a meta-ethnography study which explores the internal processes that contributes to positive adaptive reconstruction of identity in adults with a traumatic brain injury.

Chapter two of the thesis is a quantitative empirical study that investigated the impact of internal continuity in individuals with an acquired brain injury and how it influences well-being outcomes.

The final chapter is a press release consisting of a brief, executive summary of the two research components aimed for the general public.
