Abstract
The reactivity of a novel magnesium alkyl reduced Ziegler catalyst system, has been studied in the preparation of various homopolymers and copolymers. Many of the earlier experiments were based upon the use of ethylene monomer as the major component of the polymorisation system. In the later sections, the work mainly concerns the formation of styrene polymers although acetylene and 4-methylpent-l-ene have also been used as the monomers.
